  1.  Singular and Plural
Singular          = tunggal (jumlah benda hanya satu)
Plural              = jamak (jumlah benda lebih dari satu)
Singular          = a/an + noun
Plural              = noun + -s/-es/-ies/-ves

-s             = Ditulis setelah/di akhir  sebagian besar noun
Contoh:
A photo – photos
A notebook – notebooks
A chair – chairs

-es           = Ditulis setelah noun yang berakhiran –ch, -sh, -ss, -x
Contoh:
A branch – branches
A brush – brushes
A glass – glasses
A box – boxes

-ies         = Ditulis setelah noun yang berakhiran –y
Contoh:
A fly – flies
A butterfly – butterflies
A dragonfly – dragonflies

-ves        = Ditulis setelah noun yang berakhiran –f atau –fe
Contoh:
A leaf – leaves
A knife - knives
